Alright, this is a cool sounding rendition of the original classic, I like it, but I am glad its being re-worked on.
I really like the “cazzooo” parts in it, but that funky electronic drum machine has got to go. Scrap it. Honestly, it makes the song sound weird. Perhaps using a real drum set or someone just hitting a soft beat on a wooden kitchen table might sound “unique”… also add some wine glasses filled with water and hit them gently for an added sound effect. Yeah, hitting bottles with a drum stick will add a unique sound to this classic song. Give it a try.
I will be looking forward to the new “re-mixed” version.

This is one tuff song to cover properly. Its just such a magical sounding classic and such an original sounding masterpiece , that making a cool rendition of it properly is rare to hear these days (or in the past).

Oh Darling …Ooooh Daaaarling… Wow, this sounds really good!
Is that Dolly Parton on the microfone or some other sweet Southern belle which I need to know better?
Kathena Bryant is defenitly a sweet sounding lady with a unique voice. I like it, reminds me of those “Coal Miners daughter” songs of long ago or some cool classic Patsy Cline songs. This country-style rendition of the song is really good.
Glad to hear its being re-worked on for a more polished version.
I will suggested to cut the “echo” on the voice and Ukelele a little less. Its too much echo and sounds as if she´s inside a huge empty warehouse.
This first version is mighty nice though. A real treat for the ears.

I’m a bit perplexed by the idea that George’s songs never got the ‘wide screen’ production until the Abbey Road project. “Long Long Long” does seem a bit eccentric and possibly undercooked, but of course that goes for much of the White Album, which ranges from polished tracks to rough outtake doodles.

But the same album features George’s ‘Savoy Truffle’, ‘Piggies’ and ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ which seem as polished as anything on the album.

Yeah, I’ve been noticing this too lately. There used to be a little “arrow” next to the song so I could play it while reading the article. I haven’t seen it in a while now. If I click on the Song Title, it opens up another web page and plays the song on a plugin. Is it my browser (IE 9) or did you guys change something?

What a great cover of a great song !
I can almost feel the humidity on South Beach.

The Beatles could always make me laugh, in a press conference, or in a song.
The same goes for this version. Wonderful track, performances, and question at the end, made me burst out in laughter.
Hyphenate’s have never been as funny and as swinging at the same time.

I’m going to listen again!

So far in every post you’ve found at least 5 things to complain about in the original songs, but very rarely do you talk about the positive factors of these, seeing as these are the greatest songs ever written. I’m in high doubt whether or not you’re really that big of a Beatles’ fan given your distaste for pretty much 50% of the things in every song you’ve talked about.

It’s an interesting, rather dark version…the ukelele not much in evidence, however. And, refrerring back to the original, not one of the better 12 string features, but consistent with the song, in other words – mediocre!
