Our version features master vocalist Bill Clift recorded in one take in a freezing warehouse during the coldest night of a rather brutal January in South East London. The mood, not surprisingly,  is ominous. We are far too old and bitter to believe in something as naive as the purity of love. Satisfaction is a good tune and the simplicity of everyday survival, followed by a lonely, meaningless death.
Happy Valentine’s Day!"
Bill has been influenced by The Beatles even more than the 90 units of alcohol his doctor pleaded that he stop consuming every week.
30 years of continual work in the music business has seen Bill write, sing and perform with more than 300 acts –  The Late Show  Happyhead, Robert Plant, Wang Chung,  Jeffery Osbourne, Kylie Minogue, Mick Ronson and World Party being just a handful of them.
Bill has also released two classic albums “Bill Clift” on Proper Records and the self released “Smokescreen”.
He lives in Whitsable, England with his wife and son
